Sarreguemines Conurbation

The asset of a human-size city at the heart of Europe

Communauté d'Agglomération Sarreguemines Confluences

The Sarreguemines region, an agglomeration of over 50,000 inhabitants, stands out due to its rich historical and architectural heritage, the variety and the quality of its leisure pursuits, and its generous natural environment.

Established at the meeting point of river Blies and river Sarre, a real link between France and Germany, the Sarreguemines agglomeration lives naturally among the French and German cultures.

At the heart of the trans-border Sarrebruck – Moselle Est agglomeration of over 600,000 inhabitants, it belongs, on a larger scale, to a urban region of over one million inhabitants encompassing the whole of the Sarre and the East of the Moselle department.

This peaceful, balanced and dynamic city is situated on the network of one of the most important European economic centres, with over 200 million consumers within 600 km.

5 good reasons to choose the Sarreguemines agglomeration:

1 – A favourable geographic situation in terms of communication
From Sarreguemines, you can join the major European capital cities in less than 4 hours. TGV East, which will soon arrive here, will create an even stronger link between these decision-making centres.

2 – A traditional industrial workforce
Sarreguemines employment basin is well known for the quality of its workforce:
- a low absenteeism rate
- a productivity considerably higher than average

3 – Comprehensive and diversified training courses
Together, Sarreguemines and its immediate surroundings (METZ - NANCY -  STRASBOURG and SARREBRUCK) provide a comprehensive range of training courses for higher-grade technicians and engineers in all industrial sectors.

4 – An unexpected living environment
The generous natural environment at the parting of river Sarre and river Blies, constantly developing multiple sports activities (golf, raids …), are plenty to quench the thirst of cine addicts, gourmets, amateurs of theatre plays, concerts and shows of all types.

5 – A bilingual culture
Situated at the junction of the Saxon and Latin civilisations, impregnated with both the German and French cultures, Sarreguemines asserts itself as a crossroads of peoples’ cultures.
